The Long Way Home

An eight-session study for women's groups
Watch the trailer The film goes here — put its YouTube ID in videos.js.

A woman at the edge of the map is handed a sealed letter with a name on it she has never been called — taken in, by oath, thirty-one years ago, never cancelled. Over eight weeks she walks the long road to the house she belongs to, and learns its ways from a woman who never left it.

Gather seven friends

Press play. Talk. Write. Come back next week.

Ninety minutes. No teacher required — there is no lecture anywhere in this course, and no answer key, because there are no right answers.

What an evening looks like

  1. Ten minutes — tea, and the week everybody's had.
  2. Twenty minutes — the episode, together.
  3. Three minutes — quiet, while everyone writes. Never cut the quiet.
  4. Thirty-five minutes — the questions. You won't get through six.
  5. Ten minutes — the Hebrew word, the verse, and one small practice.

Questions people ask

Do I have to know Hebrew?
No. Eight words, one a week, with pronunciation and a page to practise on.

Do I have to teach?
No. You press play, ask the question, and let the room talk.

Is this a conversion course?
No. It's Romans 11 — a wild branch grafted into a cultivated tree, grateful, not replacing. The course says so on page five.

Where do we watch?
Right here. Every workbook has a code on each session page that opens that week's film.
